This Accessible Segovia private accessible day-tour is targeted for wheelchair users and people with limited mobility and their families. Segovia is a must visit UNESCO world heritage site (just 1h drive from Madrid).
10h: Transfer from your hotel in Madrid to Segovia in a private wheelchair accessible van (1hour drive).
11h Arrival to Segovia. This walking/rolling tour begins at the emblematic Roman aqueduct. The Aqueduct of Segovia is one of the most famous Roman Monuments in Europe and main landmark of Segovia.
Our Accessible Segovia tour continues heading the main street of the city, Real Street (Calle Real). The first stop is the sightseeing point of la Canaleja and close to the surprising Casa de los Picos (Peak’s House). The Casa de los Picos is the most famous house in Segovia. It is worth stopping to snap a photo of its interesting facade covered with granite blocks carved into pyramid shapes.
Our next stop is the church of San Martin, a beautiful Romanesque structure with atriums surrounding it on three sides. not far from here we find the Corpus Square, dominated by the ancient Synagogue, Corpus Christi Church nowadays.
Later on, you will find the Main Square and the Cathedral. Plaza Mayor is the main plaza of historic Segovia. Surrounding the plaza is a varied assortment of buildings and cafe. There you we will admire and enter the Cathedral of Segovia, Lady of Spanish Cathedrals.
Arrival to the main square in Segovia. We will stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant. (lunch is not included in the price). Its roast Suckling Pig is world famous and delicious dish to try.
From the Cathedral we will continue the Segovia walking tour along the Medieval Quarter of the Canonjias that leads to the famous Alcazar, traditional royal fortress and most visited monument in the city. We will visit the Alcazar inside, but before entering the Alcazar, there is a great view of the valley outside of the city. The Alcazar of Segovia was originally built as an Arab fortress, with its exact creation story unknown. The most famous rooms in the castle are the Hall of the Throne and the Hall of Kings.
The Accessible Segovia day-tour will finish taking an unforgettable picture of the Alcazar from a nearby garden.
